You will then have access to a medication therapy managment pharmacist who will go over side effects, dosing, and best practices for a successful program.  
 
Both Chantix and Zyban are prescription medications that can help individuals quit smoking. They work by reducing nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms, making it easier for individuals to abstain from smoking. Chantix, also known as varenicline, works by blocking the effects of nicotine on the brain. This helps to reduce the pleasurable effects of smoking and makes it easier for individuals to quit. It is typically taken for 12 weeks, with the possibility of a longer treatment duration if needed. Zyban, also known as bupropion, is an antidepressant that has been found to also help with smoking cessation. It works by increasing levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, which can reduce nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms. 
 
A 3 month supply of medication will be called into your local pharmacy. You will be  responsible for any copay or out of pocket cost.  If we need to contact your insurance for prior-approval, please let us know.
